SPATIALITY: WORD/IMAGE JUXTAPOSITIONS

In 2011, for my undergraduate thesis, I began creating a series of short stories, poems, and illustrations along the theme of locality, its significance, consequence, and its subjectivity. The project aimed to explore, using a variety of media and creative writing styles, how one finds oneself reflected in spaces, and how that perspective can demonstrate an individual’s social and cultural constitution. In this book, I play with form and structure, juxtaposing words and images, in order to reexamine the human-space relationship as a social instrument for introspection and self-identification.
